Two months ago, Scottie Scheffler had yet to win on the PGA Tour. Since then he has collected four wins and the world No. 1 ranking — plus a Masters green jacket.
At just 25 years old, Scheffler is the youngest Masters victor since fellow-American Jordan Spieth earned the green jacket at the age of 21 in 2015. Scheffler finished three strokes ahead of runner-up Rory McIlory, who had a record-tying final round.
Scheffler now has four wins in his last six PGA Tour tournaments, all of which have come in the last 56 days. The Dallas native captured a win at the Phoenix Open in a playoff, delivered a victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and then took first place at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.
With Sunday’s win at the Masters, Scheffler pocketed $2.7 million and has now earned $8,872,200 over his last six starts.
