Giants Sign Mike Glennon To Be Backup Quarterback

Mike Glennon is signing with the New York Giants to be their backup quarterback, per published reports.

Glennon, 31, has been an NFL journeyman since being taken by the Buccaneers in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He went 5-13 as a starter for the Bucs over three seasons and has since played for the Bears, Cardinals, Raiders and Jaguars.

In five games for Jacksonville last season, Glennon completed 111 of 179 passes (62 percent) for 1,072 yards. He threw 7 touchdown passes and 5 interceptions.

Glennon has played in 34 games with 27 starts during his career. He has an NFL record of 6-21 as a starting quarterback.
