The Jets got a split decision by the special panel picking the Hall of Fame class of 2021.
Defensive lineman Joe Klecko did not make the list of finalists, which probably closes the door on his chances of ever getting into the Hall. Offensive tackle Winston Hill, a member of the Super Bowl III team, did make the cut.
The vote in January will determine whether he makes it.
Hill is one of 38 finalists for class honoring the 100th anniversary of the NFL. On Jan. 8, the finalists will be trimmed to the 15 who will be enshrined. Hill, a four-time Pro Bowler, played for the Jets from 1963-76.
