Super Bowl 2020 Had A Moment of Silence For Kobe Bryant

At Super Bowl LIV, once player warmups ended, the NFL observed a moment of silence for Kobe Bryant, the eight other victims of last Sunday’s helicopter crash and late Hall of Fame defensive end Chris Doleman.

Players lined up on the 24-yard line — in a nod to one of Bryant’s Lakers numbers — for the tribute.

49ers cornerback Richard Sherman was among those wearing a Bryant jersey as the teams arrived to Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday in Miami.

The big game came just a week after Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash in California on the way to her basketball game. The sports world has spent the days since offering tributes of every kind, with more to come Sunday night.

Doleman, the former Viking, Falcon and 49er, died Tuesday night after a long battle with brain cancer.
