Hines Ward will always be best remembered for his contributions to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he’s now going to be trying to help a different team in a new way.
The longtime NFL wide receiver has joined the New York Jets as an offensive assistant.
Ward became known to fans in a new light after his retirement as he served as a studio analyst for NBC for several years. He worked with Pittsburgh as a coaching intern in 2017, but this is his first full-time foray into the profession.
Ward has definitely shown a willingness to weigh in on his former team and its offensive scheme. Perhaps he can bring some of his expertise to the Jets.
